Early Foundations

2016

Foundation Established

Clariton Trust was born with a mission to open startup investing to all—not just the elite.

Challenges: Navigating regulatory barriers and establishing digital infrastructure.

Achievements: Secured initial licensing, recruited an experienced founding team, and laid down our platform architecture.

2018

First Private Equity Fund

We launched our first early-stage equity fund, targeting African tech and energy startups.

Challenges: Limited investor awareness and low trust in cross-border investments.

Achievements: Closed 12 seed deals, onboarded over 3,000 early investors, and achieved 95% satisfaction rate.

2019

Fintech & AI Expansion

Strategic pivot into AI-powered ventures, launching dedicated fintech funds across Africa and Asia.

Challenges: High competition, limited access to proprietary AI projects.

Achievements: Successfully funded 3 AI SaaS platforms and 2 neobanks, doubling AUM to $28M.

2020

Global Investor Network

Expanded outreach, engaging investors from 25+ countries despite the pandemic shock.

Challenges: Market panic, digital onboarding bottlenecks, delayed settlements.

Achievements: Streamlined KYC/AML pipeline, launched multilingual support, surpassed $50M AUM.

2021

Green Energy & ESG Integration

Integrated ESG scoring and began investing in sustainable infrastructure—solar, EV, and hydrogen hubs.

Challenges: ESG standard conflicts across jurisdictions, data accuracy.

Achievements: Built an internal ESG dashboard, closed 6 green deals, and established our ESG Council.

2022

Crypto & Tokenized Asset Entry

Enabled compliant crypto investments, NFT-backed funds, and tokenized equity offerings for verified users.

Challenges: Volatility, token scams, and rapid regulatory changes.

Achievements: Launched Clariton Wallet, partnered with 2 licensed crypto custodians, and issued our first DeFi-backed security token.

2023

Pre-IPO & Venture Club Launch

Opened the Pre-IPO Deal Room and launched Clariton Venture Club for elite access to vetted unicorns.

Challenges: Vetting pre-IPO pricing and managing exclusive investor expectations.

Achievements: Raised $45M in one quarter, listed 18 unicorns, and grew Club members to 6,000+.

2024

$200M AUM Milestone

We achieved a $200 million milestone across fintech, real estate tokenization, green energy, and AI infrastructure.

Challenges: Scaling support services and backend infrastructure.

Achievements: Acquired 2 smaller fintech platforms and launched our Startup Portfolio Tracker app.

2025

AI & Power Infrastructure Fund Launch

Kickstarting our AI City Infrastructure Fund focused on automation, microgrids, and sustainable urban tech.

Challenges: Balancing risk in hardware-heavy ventures, securing city-level approvals.

Achievements: Fund oversubscribed by 170% within 6 weeks, with anchor funding from 3 institutional partners.
